Hello, my name is Richard Carpenter and I'm a Freelance Web Designer / Graphic Designer from Cannock, England. I specialize in Front-End Web Development and aim to create vibrant, detailed designs while keeping web standards and usability aspects in mind. Each site I develop is built to be search engine friendly, using the latest development principles and techniques.
I possess a wide range of knowledge and experience in the field, and can manage projects and clients efficiently. I have an eye for detail and can balance the creative aspects of site designs while still maintaining usability.
If I'm honest we could sit here all day and exchange terms and names of the various front-end (and web) technologies that I'm proficient in but chances are, if you're more of a visual person, this website itself will serve as a better demonstration of my passion for what I do best. It all boils down to the same thing, I write the markup that makes websites look and behave the way they do. I'm the person who adds nice rounded corners, gradients, drop shadows, and fade effects that are popular in 'web 2.0' design; I'm the one cutting up and optimizing graphics to ensure that the pages load as quickly as possible; and I'm the person who makes sure that the website works regardless of the browser or device used to view the site.
